My Students
My school serves approximately 550 students. My students are a unique mix of learners from diverse backgrounds and speak a variety of languages. In our classrooms, you will often find students collaborating while learning new skills and solving problems. My students' diverse backgrounds and various experiences help shape each of them into amazing and unique individuals. Their differences provide our students with an opportunity to learn from one another. From the first day of school, we work together to create our classroom family that our students love to be a part of.
My Project
These rugs and bean bag chairs will provide my students alternative seating options in which they can collaborate and work with other students in various locations in our classroom such as the classroom library, and small group work areas. Students can use these areas to think and work independently as well as collaborate with others in small groups as they work out problems together and engage in math strategy games.
The bean bag chairs and rugs would increase the work areas in my classroom.
Students can currently sit at tables on stools or on the floor. These stools would provide the students with another seating option while working throughout the classroom.
