Working in a Small Group!

Help me give my students an activity table which will allow them to work together in a small group.

My Students

I teach in a Title I school in Northern California. We are located in a rural community within the foothills. My students come from low-income families, that are faced with challenges both in the classroom and outside of the classroom.

My first graders are energetic, full of curiosity, and love to learn.

They love to move and use hands-on learning to help them process new concepts. I set up a safe and supportive classroom that welcomes different types of learning.

My Project

This activity table will allow my students to work together in a small group more efficiently. My students need a place to give them a more personally setting in a big classroom.

The horseshoe table will give my students the ability to communicate easily with each other while working on a team building assignment.

A big classroom with lots of desks in it is sometimes challenging to find the space to work closely with a small group. This activity table will give my students and I an opportunity to work closely together as well as allowing them to work as a team.
