My Project
My second-grade students are excited to go the extra mile to earn money for spending or saving! In our classroom, we run a weekly class store where they can spend their well-earned cash. Students have several opportunities to earn money, such as completing homework, returning corrected work, finishing their weekly reading logs, or demonstrating excellent behavior.
The excitement builds as they look forward to discovering new items in the store!
From candy and games to bags, snacks, and craft supplies, a variety of products await their purchase.
Each week, they face the decision to either splurge or save. Fridays are highly anticipated as they can’t wait to see the latest store offerings and spend their earnings. Additionally, they can use pillows for more comfortable independent work, which enhances their learning experience.
