My Project
I am in my seventh year of teaching. Each year I learn so many ways to better educate the students who come through my class. I am currently in my second year of a state run science of reading class. And this year I had the awesome opportunity to attend the Ron Clark Academy and learn from some incredible teachers.
I want to continue to grow and by doing this I want to learn from the best!
I have sought out different educators who I have found to be experts in the world of education. They have written several books that I want to read and study from in order to help my students. I want to continue to progress in the science of reading and Louisa Moats is a pioneer in his area!
After attending the RCA Experience, I have a admiration and great respect for Ron Clark and Kim Bearden. They have followed their dream to educating children and educating them in the way that guides them to become the best possible student and adult! I would love to read each of their books.
And last but not least, I read "The First 100 Days of School" by Harry Wong last year. His book gave me so much insight on how to setup and manage your classroom. I want to read his other book on how to properly manage my classroom. I know these books will give me exactly what I need to keep progressing in my career and for my educating my students!
