Help me give my students new tables that allow them extra room to work independently or collaboratively.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Beese's classroom raised $583

My Students
My 30 students are inner city students who attend a public school where funding has been cut significantly. Their parents chose a public school because they do not have many options due to finances, which in turn does not provide the schools with a ton of support. My students love to learn through play and blended, cooperative learning. They love to learn through hands-on activities and be very active. I always try to create my lessons to meet their needs. My school can't always provide the materials needed for these engaging lessons.
My Project
My students are currently using an old, trapezoid table. Many of these tables have cracks and sharp edges. The students are getting their fingers pinched and getting splinters! By providing my students with updated places to sit, they can focus more on their learning and less on getting hurt.
The sizing of the tables will also help support differentiated learning through small group work and instruction.
Students can feel like they belong to a team! The bright, colorful tables will also help support creating a warm and welcoming learning environment for my students! Not only will these tables support my upcoming class, but so many future classes as well!
