My Students
My students put the special in special education. They are exceptional boys and girls ranging in age, as I teach middle and high school Lifeskills.
We have a swing, a small climbing structure, and a picnic table in our playground area.
The students love the outdoors, and the more options and objects that they could play with, the better.
My Project
Our Lifeskills Special Education class teaches academics and skills that our students will need to function independently.
We are blessed to have many books and curriculum, however, our outside time, specifically in our playground area, could use some sprucing up.
We would love to have more toys, games and items such as hoops and bean bag tosses, that will improve the fun and learning experience when we are outside soaking up the much needed sun rays, as well as enjoying movement breaks. We like to work hard on our academics, and play hard as incentives and rewards.
More than half of students from low‑income households
