Workbench Seating Part 3

Help me give my students mobile workbenches for flexible seating and durable workspace both inside the classroom and the construction shop.

My Students

My students are 9-12th graders who have chosen to dive into my two-year workforce and career readiness construction and carpentry program as part of their high school education. First-year students are introduced to the construction world, learning everything from employment and communication skills to basic building skills. As a second-year student, they continue career readiness skills as they dig deeper into higher-level carpentry skills.

Construction class gives my students time, space, and freedom to explore careers in the trades and develop personal interests in construction-related skills.

My students look forward to spending two hours in my non-traditional class where they can be out of their seats moving around with hands-on learning. As the first female trades teacher in our district, I'm excited to open this opportunity up to all students and am especially excited to help young women feel comfortable and confident learning construction skills.

My Project

With growing interest in my construction and carpentry program, I am in need of more seating and workspace for my students. I have a new crew of students entering into their first year of this career and workforce readiness program as well as my returning students from last year.

Durable, flexible seating that can handle anything from pushing a pencil to hammering in a nail is a must for this trades-based course.

Not only will these desks add extra seating that can handle the load my curriculum throws at them, but they will also allow my students to spread out more in the classroom, keeping them at safe and healthy distances.
