My Students
I have an amazing opportunity to be a third-grade Language Arts teacher on the Southeast of Chicago. We currently serve K-6 and will be adding one-grade level each year until we are a K-8 school.
89% of our current scholars qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
All of our scholars live in the Southeast community.We are a high-performing, charter school with a focus on preparing all of our students with the fundamental academic skills and strength of character to pursue all of their goals.
My Project
Our scholars work incredibly hard in our math, reading, and core blocks! Currently, we have a tough time fitting our groups with the chairs in our classroom. We would love to have flexible seating to make our literacy block more comfortable for our scholars!
We also work towards our school's community celebration which happens every single Friday!
We use our community celebration time for our talent show, school cheer off, math olympics, and shouting out the scholars who have earned the treasure box and our Be Great Scholar Award!
We would use the eagle mask and sweatshirts to increase our Emory pride during our school-wide cheer off! Most of the positive incentives would be used as motivation throughout the week. Scholars would earn the trophies and treasure box items during our community celebration!
