This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In a world of technology and student engagement, many students prefer to sit comfortably in the classroom to learn in a welcoming, relaxing environment. This can foster a place with decreased angst for my adolescents! In my experience, work is more productive when students can choose where and how they learn.
My students deserve this versus sitting on a hard, carpeted floor with their backs on the wall.
We have a pod space in which students can learn; however, many times, it is booked by other teachers leaving it available only on a limited basis. The students love this space. Why not create that same space and energy but in the classroom?
