My students need privacy folders to focus on their work so they can go to small group stations! They also need Power Pens and sight-word bingo for more exposure to phonics and sight words.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in a rural area that serves families with diverse backgrounds and cultures. We are located in a town outside of New Orleans. Our school population is a majority English language learners who lack basic phonetic and language skills.
My class is composed mainly of ESL students who are eager to pick up new words and new learning experiences.
My class loves to listen to readings! They find enjoyment in storybooks and adventures. I love having the opportunity to expose students to different subjects, topics, and technology. This allows them to fall in love with learning. My students come in each morning eager to learn and excited to see what else they can do in our classroom!
My Project
My students are a chatty group who love to interact with each other. My students have recently been introduced to small group stations and they love them. With the excitement of afternoon stations, my students are having a hard time focusing on their work by themselves. I am hoping the privacy dividers will keep my class focused on their independent work so they can enjoy their station time.
Stations have revamped learning in my classroom.
My students enjoy working together to learn and problem solve. The "magic pens" will revamp phonics time in stations by infusing technology and making learning exciting. The more exposure my students can get to sight words, phonics, and reading the better. Hearing the pens will help my ESL students with articulation. Sight-word bingo will also make sight word practice fun.
