My Students

My students are funny, warm, caring and full of energy. They work hard and love to play just as hard outside.

All my students love to learn through hands-on experiences.

Moving their bodies will help grasp their attention and get their minds ready to learn.

My Project

1.5.2 Perform manipulative skills in simple combinations. 3.5.3 Demonstrate opportunities at school for regular participation in physical activities.

With the basketballs, soccer balls and scoop and ball set my students will be able to play outside with lots of options.

Waiting in line with only one basketball will be a thing of the past. Students to be constantly moving, shooting, throwing, catching and kicking. No more conflict with ball hogging. Every one is invited to play and everyone gets a turn. This will create a more positive environment for recess and P.E. In turn, this will help meet students' social and emotional needs.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.4.9 Compare and contrast the treatment of similar themes and topics (e.g., opposition of good and evil) and patterns of events (e.g., the quest) in stories, myths, and traditional literature from different cultures.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.4.5 Describe the overall structure (e.g., chronology, comparison, cause/effect, problem/solution) of events, ideas, concepts, or information in a text or part of a text.

With students physically motivated, their minds will be ready to focus on reading and writing. By using these intervention kits that focus on specific reading skills, I will be able to reach students that need just a little extra help. Many students fell behind with school closures and exclusions during the Covid-19 pandemic. This focused instruction and practice will close the gaps for students who are ready to catch up.
