My Students
My students are amazing! Our school is located in a rural part of central California in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. We love our community and the natural resources we have in our area.
Many of my students come from middle to low-income families.
My students come to school every day excited to learn something new and ready to take on a new challenge. While our students have many obstacles in their lives, they persevere and succeed.
My Project
My students are working toward testing season. This year, we have been selected to participate in the NAEP test, a national assessment which will be use to compare fourth grade students around the world.
My students are up for the challenge.
They have been working hard all year to show what they know. I want to reward them with these treats, full size candy bars, Gatorade and sunflower seeds, once they complete their testing. These treats will be a welcome reward for a job well done. Testing is a difficult and stressful time for all and these treats will show them how much their hard work is appreciated.
More than half of students from low‑income households
