My Students

My students come in every morning with a spark for learning and I want to put fuel on the fire. My students are eager to learn and are in need of materials that make learning fun for them. My students need to be engaged while learning and while doing independent work.

I have a classroom of almost half English language learners.

I teach at a Title 1 school and nearly 70% of students receive free or reduced price lunch. Many of my students come to school to escape the stresses of home. I feel that it is my job to make my classroom a loving caring, and fun place for them to be.

My Project

The students will use the materials for word work stations during reader's workshop. Students will use the magnetic letters to build words during small group activities. They will use the writing and word work activities during independent work, small group work, and interventions.

The materials that are donated to the classroom will make a difference by allowing students to practice necessary skills for reading and writing.

This will allow students to build fluency and confidence while reading and writing.
