My Project
We are trying to Speak Out to the community to get involved with Mental health. The laptop will help my students to teach their community to build resilience and identify the signs and symptoms of mental health problems and where to seek support. The laptop has many apps. Using the zoom or ichat or messenger students will collaborate on a shared board to explore the resources. Students can add images, text, recordings, files and much more to provide an overview of mental health.
Positive Thinking, Self Care, Problem Solving and Seeking Support as subheadings for the teacher to adapt as needed for their context.
The students will use the laptop to do extensive research around resilience and mental health support services. They will use the headphones for quiet time. To keep the students relax they can use the headphones to listen to music and do research.
Students will then use the their collaboration ideas and research share their ideas with their peers and create their own ideas based on their new learning. They will go out to the community and help educate the old school elders about Mental health.
