My Students

The students in my classroom are as inquisitive as they are unique. Coming from a multitude of diverse backgrounds and individualized needs, my students are excited explorers and avid learners.

In my classroom, we know that everyone has a different set of strengths, experiences, and needs that they bring to the table, both academically and personally.

We strive together to make growing, learning, and developing a tremendous experience for ourselves and for our peers. In order to ensure that each student thrives, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, problem solving techniques, and diverse materials.

My Project

Reading: What my students tell me they are the most excited about learning in Kindergarten. And the first step to reading is identifying letters, learning their sounds, and building words themselves.

I want to give my student all the tools they need to begin reading.

Word Work, or using letters in all different forms to build and make words, will provide them with a foundation to begin reading and writing on their own.

These materials will act as station my students will use every day during literacy rotation in the morning. My kinders will have many different choices of how they want to make words; stamping, threading, sorting, or writing.
