My Project

I teach second grade on a military base. My children come from all over the world. I have a mix of students with different ability levels.

Word building is an important component in our reading block.

Having children manipulate letters and seeing how toes sounds blend together to make word will only strengthen their understanding of words and reading.

Using letter tiles to build worlds is a fun way for students to move the letters around to make words and build sentences.

Even in second grade we are still building upon their foundational skills to becoming fluent readers.
