Word Building Games For Language Learning

My Project

I am requesting educational reading games. Some games come with magnetic sight words and magnetic whiteboards so my ESL students can work on early literacy in a fun and engaging way. The large letters will be used to practice vowel sounds, consonant sounds, and beginning sight words on the large whiteboard we have in our classroom. This allows children to be up and out of their seats and collaborate together to build the necessary skills they need to learn to read. I believe these literacy games will make a difference in the acquisition of English.

After teaching a skill/lesson, I envision the scholars practicing with them to gain proficiency.

Some resources are tailored to phonics and phonemic awareness development, while others are geared toward reading comprehension and vocabulary. Research indicates that learning games increase student engagement, academic achievement, and collaboration. All these educational games will help my ESL learners achieve these goals.
