Woo away the Worries with Primary Literacy

Help me give my students a solid, award winning collection of books for my early childhood learners to learn more about how to manage social emotional situations.

My Project

This series of books, The WorryWoo Monsters, Is an award winning series of books to build social and emotional learning skills for my primary age students. Written in a lyrical style that appeals to kids of all ages but notably, our youngest elementary students. The other books also reinforce social emotional learning for primary learners too!

My gifted early elementary students in K- 2 sometimes need more support, strategies and empowerment in working through frustration, anger, worry, indecision, change and understanding the value of gratitude.

Gifted learners often experience asynchronous development, they may have the ability to work at one to two grade levels above their peers, but developmentally they are still young children and often people don’t stop to recognize and honor it because they just see the academic ability.

Along with each book, my students will do some monster creation art, create monster finger puppets and writing of short plays to expand
