Help me give my students developmentally appropriate writing journals to capture their thinking, snacks to keep them going and ice to help keep students cool in rooms that can reach 85° without AC.

My Project
Since the pandemic, many students have relied on computers and other devices for entertainment and stimulation. We want to ensure they get as much practice in handwriting and responding to texts as possible. These writing journals are developmentally appropriate for 1st grade and encourage them to meet the writing standards. As many families struggle to make ends meet, snacks are important to maintain their stamina, especially in our hot classrooms. Students and teachers need the resources to feel safe, supported, and seen. The pandemic changed a lot in our world of education. Also, our school doesn't have AC and many of our 1st grade classrooms can reach temperatures above 85°. Having ice available for machines and water bottles, or to cool down a rosey face. This will help us as hot months are lasting longer and longer, and students struggle to find energy to engage.
