The Steel-AID Privacy Room Divider will significantly enhance our K-3 autism classroom by creating designated quiet spaces. Many children with autism can be overwhelmed by sensory input in busy environments. This divider will provide calm, low-stimulation areas for students to regroup or focus on individual work. By reducing visual distractions, we can help our students better regulate their emotions and attention, leading to improved concentration and learning outcomes. The divider's flexibility allows us to quickly adapt our classroom layout for different activities or provide additional structure as needed.
The Brightown Outdoor String Lights with Remote will support our students' sensory needs by offering a softer, adjustable lighting option.
Many children with autism are sensitive to harsh overhead lighting, which can cause discomfort and distraction. These string lights will create a calming ambiance, with the remote control allowing us to easily adjust intensity and color to suit different activities or individual preferences. This can help reduce anxiety and sensory overload, promoting a more comfortable learning environment.
Our goals are to create an autism-friendly classroom that supports each student's unique sensory needs and enhances their ability to learn and engage. We aim to provide tools that help students self-regulate, focus, and feel more comfortable, ultimately improving their academic and social outcomes.

Many have intense interests in specific subjects, which we leverage to enhance learning across various areas. While they may struggle with social interaction, communication, or sensory processing, our goal is to celebrate their individual strengths while providing tailored support. By creating a more sensory-friendly and adaptable classroom with these items, we can better meet their diverse needs and help them reach their full potential.
