My Students

Each day, my ELL students actively engage in Literacy stations. We are always on the lookout for new ways to participate in learning activities! With a scarce budget, it is difficult to purchase any new activities. My students need new materials to keep them highly motivated!

I teach in a high poverty urban district.

My district is facing severe budget restraints, which is putting a huge burden on the teachers and students alike. My student population consists of English Language Learners at various proficiency levels. They come to school eager to learn every day. It is my job to help them gain confidence in the language domains and meet the common core standards.

My Project

My students will use these new word work literacy stations daily. They will be engaged in learning with a partner or small group. The write on/wipe off pockets will be used to practice leveled phonics activities. In addition, the roll a word dice set will allow students to practice reading various word patterns. The sight word stations will help build oral reading fluency. Vocabulary development builds a strong foundation for literacy skills. My English Language Learners need these activities to build this strong literacy foundation. Please consider donating!
