Wonderful Whiteboard Wanted!

My students need a new whiteboard and markers in order to see how to solve math problems, do word work, and write sentences correctly.

My Students

Chalkboards were all the rage when I was in elementary school, but they just don't cut the mustard today. A large whiteboard would help me be able to better scaffold the learning for my students. Most of them are visual learners and need the tools to be able to reach their full potential.

All of my students have tremendous potential, but just need some extra support to be proficient in reading and math.

They enjoy showing what they know and teaching one another. The students who come to me for math like to race one another to see who can solve problems the fastest.

My Project

If I had a whiteboard that was mounted to the wall in my classroom, it would not only help with my teaching, it would also free up space to expand my class library. I currently have a small whiteboard that folds up. I often move it around the room depending on what we're doing.

If this project is funded my students will feel like they are important.

They already know that they have to leave their regular classrooms to get extra help. It would be nice to be in a place that has the basic necessities for teaching and learning.
