My Students
My students come from a high poverty area. I have the privilege of working with an amazing group of individuals that are unique thinkers. They are diverse in how they learn, the languages they speak, and in the opportunities that are available to them outside of school. These children are fascinated with discovering new things. My students are always willing to learn and put their best foot forward. They are encouraged to try and learn from mistakes. If given the right learning environment, these students can achieve greatness.
My Project
"Wonder" is a fantastic book that has many values worth sharing with my students. I have enjoyed reading this book to my students very year. This year I want them to be able to read it with me. I love watching the students interact and relate to the bullying, the defender, and the friendships. It is hard to find quality books that the students find interesting. This book is one of them. The audiobook makes it so they can hear what good reading sounds like. This will be nice to use once in while to help the students practice using expression while reading.
