My Project

Hello! I’m Ms. Ellis, proudly known as the Queen of Math at Wilson STEM Academy, a Title I school in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. I am the NCCTM Secondary Math Teacher of the Year for SPA B, and I am deeply committed to helping my students succeed, especially in math, a subject many find challenging. My classroom is a place of energy, engagement, and high expectations, and I want to provide my students with every possible tool to excel.

My EVAAS growth scores consistently show BLUE, meaning my students regularly exceed the state's predicted performance levels.

This success is no accident. It comes from hard work, strong relationships, and creative instruction. Now, I am requesting support to bring a StarBoard Pro Interactive Whiteboard with Android 13, 74 inch into our classroom. This technology will allow for real time collaboration, interactive lessons, and hands on problem solving. It will help students see and experience math in ways that make learning deeper and more meaningful.

At our STEM Academy, we strive to connect math with real world thinking. An interactive whiteboard will help students explore geometry, data, graphing, and even coding in a highly visual and engaging way. For many of my students, especially visual and kinesthetic learners, this will be a game changer.

Your support will directly impact students who often face challenges outside of school but rise to every academic challenge inside the classroom. Help me give them a modern, dynamic learning experience that reflects the brilliance and potential they bring to school every day.
