My students need flexible seating choices such as the ball seats and the wobble cushion to be able to focus on their work.

My Students
My second graders come to school full of energy and ready to conquer the world. My job is to keep them motivated and to develop critical thinkers. Each child learns differently, and part of my job is to find out how to reach them. Some are visual learners, some are auditory learners, and some learn by hands-on activities. We need to figure out how to reach all learners. My students are sweet and eager to learn. They are motivated and want to be successful students; they just need the opportunity.
My Project
Several of my students are definitely kinesthetic learners and need to move as they work. . Trying to get them to sit still is almost an impossible task. Most of the time they do not even realize they are moving! Flexible seating lets them fidget and move around.
"Traditional" chairs are too confining and restrictive, and I believe these stools may be the key to unlock the creative juices for these students.
When they are learning they need to be able to move in order to pay attention. They are able to grow and learn as they are moving. This will lead them to be a success in school.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
