Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergartners are wonderful little humans with a vivid imagination and an inspiring curiosity about their surroundings. They love to explore, converse, inquire, and play. It is truly a joy to watch them grow and blossom throughout the year and it is an honor to set my students up for success!

Our school is in a low socioeconomic area, with a large population of families falling below the poverty line.

Our students cannot afford their own school supplies and/or snacks, so I have been happily providing supplies, snacks, and spare clothing out of my own pocket.

My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with as many truly enriching tools as I can within our classroom walls. Since our school is slowly trying to build resources, I try to do as much as I am able to on my own. I carefully select items that I know will be useful and valuable in the classroom.

My Project

Our classroom has learners with all types of personalities and learning styles. My goal as a teacher is to provide each student a comfortable and engaging learning experience. I have several students who would greatly benefit from a flexible seating option, and I am so excited to be able to give them this experience!

As little ones learn, they need to move their bodies.

This can be an issue when a student is fidgeting during lessons, distracted by nearby objects, or getting up during work time to find something to do. In my experience, wobble chairs and cushions keep students engaged as they wiggle in their seat. It's as if they forget they are sitting and are able to focus on my lesson and/or their independent work.

We thank you so much for considering our classroom! We will be so grateful, and I would use these resources for years to come!
