Wobble Your Way Through Learning

My Project

Flexible seating helps address the issues of of focus, academic motivation, and making choices that positively impact one's learning. My students have had a small taste of flexible seating with the few items I have, but they are hungry for more! By getting a set of 6 wobble stools to use in small group instruction, students will be able to move their focus from their bodies to their brain and show marked improvement in retention of knowledge and reading comprehension.

As my classroom has added the availability of flexible seating, I have been able to see my students increase their desire to read books independently, work more cooperatively with their classmates, and take charge of their academic growth in reading.

Students are eager to get to read around the room and the increase in the number of books they are reading and their monthly assessment scores are showing how flexible seating has helped.
