This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
How can I expect them to do their best if they can't stop wiggling and wobbling?
My high need first graders at Leonard R. Flynn Elementary School in San Francisco are desperate for new chairs. I have asked my principal for a new set every August for the last 5 years. All I get are more broken chairs from our district's warehouse. There is not a single chair in my classroom that is not cracked, wobbly, or missing a screw. This is sad and unacceptable in my opinion.
First Graders are wiggly enough. It is difficult enough to engage them. Help me eliminate this factor far beyond their control.
You can greatly increase their ability to attend to lessons and other learning activities by supporting my proposal.
