Wobble with It!

My Students

The school that I teach in has a 90%+ poverty rate.

My students walk to school or are brought by taxi/cab service.

I am lucky to be able to teach some very wiggly students in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. They have amazing and unique personalities that I want tobring out and I encourage them to be the amazing humans that I know that they are. I want to give them every opportunity that is available to them and then some! I believe in them and their abilities.

My Project

The students that I work with are very active Kindergarten-6th grade students. Their safety is one of my top priorities. However, I also want and need them to learn effectively. One way that they will be able to do that is being able to wobble and move around on their chair while also being able to learn. Currently, when they attempt to rock on their chairs, it creates an unsafe environment for them. It also takes away from the focus of the lesson to the safety of the chair. With wobble chairs, they will be able to wobble/fidget safely all while still being able to concentrate on their lesson!
