This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a 1st-grade special education teacher in a Title I school in the Bronx. My classroom is made up of general education students and special education students. The students in my class have many different needs and with that being said many of them need to move while they are working. These stools will allow them to work one-on-one with me while also helping with sensory needs. These stools wobble back and forth which has shown over time to be very beneficial for students with ADHD. Please consider donating to help my students have the comfortable seating they need.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
