My Students
I teach in a very diverse community with a wide range of learners. I have students from all different walks of life stepping into my first-grade classroom in the fall. Each student and family is so unique and comes with different life experiences that make the classroom community feel complete.
In my class, we build a community around what we have in common while celebrating our differences and our shared experiences.
They will grow to be well-rounded, inquisitive learners who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in their future. Even though I am the teacher, they teach me along the way.
My Project
My students are always up and working around the classroom. I tell them that as long as they are working, they can sit, stand, kneel, or lay down. They have completely LOVED the five wobble seats we received at the beginning of the year and are always sharing and passing them around.
Wobble seats for the entire class would allow my students to have movement throughout their entire day!
My students are in school for seven hours each day, so movement is an important part of our classroom environment. If everyone had their own special seats, they would be so happy!
