Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have the pleasure of working in an elementary school in the Bronx with a large immigrant population. Many of my students just moved to America and have limited proficiency in English and their first language. My students come from all around the world and bring with them their rich cultural backgrounds. Our school system is very foreign to them and these students need your support. Please help my students receive the tools they need to be successful in our classroom and our country.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for my students will allow me to accommodate my more active students during read alouds, math lessons, and centers on the rug. Flexible seating will be a great tool for my students to continue to grow and learn in a way that is best for them since they constantly need to be moving. I am striving to create a classroom where all of my students can be successful no matter what challenges stand in their way. I have seen how successful flexible seating can be with other classrooms in my school, and I know that it can do the same for my students!
