My students are in a full time ICT second grade classroom. Many of my students come from low-income families. Several are English language learners. There are a few that come from single-parent (or single-grandparent) households.
All of my students are unique individuals who are always eager to learn and be engaged in exciting activities.
My diverse 2nd graders come from a variety of backgrounds and have different needs and wants.
All of my students are eager to learn with open minds, ready to be filled with knowledge.
Our class has become their second family. They are very energetic and enjoy working with each other, love projects, and strive to do their best
All in all, they are a group of awesome kids!
My Project
When I work, I want to be comfortable and sometimes it is not at a desk. The different chair options will provide the students with something besides a hard chair. Many students also have attention problems, being able to move and change seating can eliminate the behavior issues that may arise.
Again, students spend so much time in the classroom and they need to be comfortable.
A wobble chair will help a child who has a hard time sitting still and it will allow them to focus on their task. It will also simultaneously help to release some extra energy.
The number one goal of my classroom is to have a classroom where ALL students feel comfortable and that I am able to supply the appropriate seating needed to make this happen. With this in mind, all children can achieve their highest abilities while participating in all classroom activities.
