My Project
My third-grade wigglers inspired this project. Many of them have a hard time sitting properly and still in chairs. The CDC recommends 60 minutes of physical activity daily, and these requested stools will change the classroom from primarily sitting to one of motion! The premise of flexible seating is allowing students to work in a way that is most comfortable to them, which involves some sort of movement for most students.
At the request of my students, I am requesting new wobble chairs to replace the old stools we currently have.
My students are looking forward to being able to wiggle and move while sitting on these stools. This will help to keep them actively engaged. Students will also be able to bring these stools next door to our STEAM lab. The stools will make collaboration much easier in the lab than traditional chairs. These stools have a textured, non-slip rubber bottom which is curved to allow a wide range of movement without disrupting the class. Plus, the backless design encourages proper posture while strengthening core muscles. Thank you for supporting our classroom and creating a learning environment that best suits my students.
