Fourth graders have a keen sense of humor and are learning more abstract concepts. They are beginning to see beyond themselves and step into the shoes of others.
My Fourth grade students are very active and need to move around.
They are sweet and kind but need to have a chance to move with working and testing. They like hands on opportunities and to work in groups with their peers. When they need to focus, sitting still can be a challenge to their academic learning ability.
My Project
These motion stools will encourage active sitting and allows students to find comfortable seating positions while allowing movement. They will allow an outlet to move around without distracting other students. We need to keep up with the changing needs of our students and allow them to be successful without being disciplined for every little movement they make. These stools will enhance our classroom and alleviate some if not all behavioral issues when trying to be successful test takers. Students will feel better being able to shift around without having to get up and disturb those around them. The stools will also help in building a stronger balance in the students.
