As a teacher in a school that serves students in Pre-K through 3rd grade with different learning styles and levels, it is difficult to actively engage all students. I teach twenty-four 3rd graders. My students are hard workers but can become easily distracted. If you stepped into my classroom you would see all types of learning styles and levels. I use different strategies to keep my students engaged in learning, but sometimes it's just not enough. With these wobble chairs, they will be able to get the movement they need without leaving their space and distracting others. It's a win-win for all!
My Project
My goal is for every child in my class to have a wobble chair in order to maximize the time we have at school to further our educational goals. I feel if all my students are able to use a wobble chair the entire day they will be able to concentrate during instruction time as well as during independent work. These chairs will allow them to move and flex without leaving their seat.
With your help, I believe my students would be fully engaged and on task throughout the day with these chairs.
I am requesting 6 wobble chairs so I can have a class set. The wobble chair works nicely as a seating alternative. The best part is the students don't have to sit still and can move freely! These chairs will allow students to improve their learning by making them more active but staying in one spot. They will have the ability to move around more while sitting and will make them more attentive and engaged in their learning.
