Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach first grade at a Title one school in Harris County. My students have loving families that are willing to help the teachers. My students are each unique and have different learning abilities. I love that they are curious about the world and want to learn.

Most of my students come from low socioeconomic homes and lack access to the resources to prepare them for their future.

My students are energetic and love to move around the classroom as they learn about new subjects.

My Project

My students will utilize the wobble chairs to help them get their wiggles out while they learn. These chairs will also give my students a choice of seating in the classroom. It will also help my students focus while working on their seatwork independently.

Learning is more effective when it is an active rather a passive process.- Kurt Lewin.

My students are curious learners who love to be hands on in our activities. These chairs will be an asset to our classrooms and help us wobble and learn at the same time.
