This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students not only come from a low-income area, but they are also working to learn the English Language. Despite all the hardships they have outside of school, they come to school ready to learn.
I teach at a Title I school where 88% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.
We provide Blessings in a Backpack where students can take a bag of food home on the weekends.
Despite so many hardships, my students walk into my classroom with smiles on their faces. They are so eager to learn. They deserve the materials that will help to push them to reach their full potential.
My Project
Getting these chairs will add two flexible seating options in our classroom! These seats are good for my students who like to wiggle and wobble while they work. Even though these chairs wobble they are made to keep the kids safe.
I have students who like to fidget while they work, and regular chairs don't allow them to do that.
However, wobble chairs would allow them to move around while they are learning. My goal and focus is alway on how I can help my kids learn more. These seats can help me meet my goals, which in turn help my students! Help me, help my students!
More than half of students from low‑income households
