Wobble to Successful Learning

My students need to have alternative seating to support their kinesthetic learning style. We need wobble chairs.

My Students

My class is filled with 26 active fifth graders with a wide range of interests and learning styles. They have innovative ideas and creative imaginations. Both boys and girls’ interests vary from sports to dancing and since our community is near the ocean, water-sports is a favorite! Students also enjoy learning about current events and are very active with what is going on in their community. Academically, they are at different levels and some require more specialized support to advance their learing.

My Project

Students will be able to use the wobble seats during direct instruction, or independent work. What better way to help students increase physical fitness while increasing student engagement!

Research has shown that movement and learning are directly related!

Allowing movement increases students' focus. Childhood obesity is on the rise due to sedentary lifestyles.

Wobble seats give students the chance to move while seated increasing focus and learning! The wobble seats will be an alternative to traditional seating for students who need more movement daily. These seats will enhance the success rates for these students and give them the boost for learning they need within the classroom.
