Wobble Those Wiggles Away

Help me give my students the ability to sit, attend and learn to the best of their abilities by supporting them with these Motion stools. It gives the students the input their bodies are looking for!

My Students

I teach Developmental Preschool students who range from age 3-5 years old with a variety of abilities and needs. There are a morning and afternoon class with up to 15 students per class. Being 3-5 years of age, we have lots of energy and movement going on all day long. The children are eager to learn and soak up what is being taught to them like little sponges.

Many of the students have sensory needs which affect their ability to sit and attend to what is being taught.

They require constant movement to give their body sensory input, which the majority of us take for granted as we get this input from our environment naturally as we walk around and move.

My Project

The K-Motion Stools are safe and can be moved around the classroom to wherever students need to sit and attend. This adaptive seat will give the student's body positive feedback that it is seeking in a natural way.

By sitting and 'wobbling' on the adaptive Motion Stool, students can focus on their task and attend.

The stool will provide students, who need movement to concentrate, with an outlet for restlessness and extra energy, without them focusing on keeping their bodies quiet/sitting still.

While using the Motion Stool, the students will be actively engaged in their learning rather then moving around, disrupting their peers and causing distractions to others and themselves.
