My students need 4 Hokki Stools to allow them to be active and engaged while we are working.

My Students
Sitting still is unnatural for kindergarten students and they should not be forced to sit still all day.
My students' bodies must constantly move, rock or fidget while trying to stay on task.
It is a challenge that they have to overcome daily. We are very busy all day long as we move from one activity to the next. My students are provided many opportunities to work on the floor and other comfortable work areas but there are times that we must sit in chairs at our tables. Sitting in a hard, stiff chair can be very challenging for many of my students. Rocking back and forth, as the chair tips back, feels very natural to them but it is not very safe.
My Project
Recently, my classroom was fortunate to receive 4 Hokki Stools through DonorsChoose and they have been a huge blessing in our classroom. These stools are unbelievable! Hokki Stools were designed to encourage natural and smooth movement. It has a wide top and some padding to make sitting down comfortable while working. My students are able to move in every direction that you can imagine! This controlled freedom of movement, stimulates their entire skeletal system which is therapeutic and helps students to focus on the task. Unfortunately, as you can imagine, everyone wants to use the stools and who can blame them?
These Hokki Stools will provide enough stools for one small group of students to use at a table during a lesson.
They will be able to freely move and stay active and engaged in their learning with these stools.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
