My Students
I work at a public arts school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My class is part of a program called high-5. Being a pre-k class in a public arts-based elementary school, I focus on project-based art and having students share their emotions through many creative outlets. My school is be fully in person this school year. My school has over 90% who receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
Wobble stools will be an option for students in my class who need to move more! After spending most of their lives at home during the pandemic many the 4 year olds in my class have never been to a daycare or school. They haven’t built up the stamina to be able to sit still for more than 5 minutes. Having wobble stools in my class would allow students to move and wiggly while still being able to sit, focus, and complete school work. This will be a great scaffold and help set them up for success for their future in schools!
