Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having these wobble stools in the classroom will allow me to provide an alternative seating option to traditional chairs.
Our Special Education students are very active as they have different educational needs, ranging from Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, and Speech Impairment.
Giving them the opportunity to have flexible seating will help them focus and be more attentive. My classroom has pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students, ages three to six. I have students who are sweet and are always trying to follow rules. I have students who struggle to sit during circle time and these wobble stools will help them. it also helps them to identify their boundaries and space.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
