This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a teacher of fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students who have communication development differences and specific learning disabilites. My students are also wonderfully creative, caring, and kind human beings. As special needs children in an Equity Focus setting , I want to do everything I can to elevate their engagement and enhance their opportunities for learning. Therefore, I have embraced a plan to offer nontraditional flexile seating options that will empower them, give them some autonomy, and provide them with choice about their learning environment. Wobble cushions allow them to flex their seated environment which enhances focus and engagement.

An uncomfortable student is a distracted and unproductive student.

Flexible seating with Wobble Cushions encourages students to find their best spot to stay calm, focused, and productive. By allowing kids to choose movement when they need it makes it possible for them to learn best and work comfortably. This enhances the possibilities for engagement and ongoing growth.

Flexible design is fundamental to this generation of teaching and learning. Wobble Cushions will be perfect additions to our classroom and the next steps to creating a responsive educational environment. Thank you for making it possible.
