My students need wobble chairs to provide flexible seating options to help meet their various learning needs.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Wood's classroom raised $377

My Students
I teach kindergarten at a Title I school in Illinois where 93% of our students receive free and reduced lunch. My students are energetic, curious, and eager to learn. Their little bodies are constantly moving and not meant to sit still for extended periods of time. Their bodies are in constant motion which can be challenging in the typical classroom environment. My hope is that flexible seating will give them the opportunity to release some of that energy and find a comfortable seat that meets their learning needs.
My Project
The donations for this project will help provide my students with the learning opportunities that they need. My students are active 5 and 6 year old boys and girls that find it difficult to sit for extended periods of time. These flexible seating options will help my students use up excess energy, improve core strength and posture, and increase motivation and engagement. The wobble chairs would be an alternative seating option for students who need more movement to stimulate the brain and increase learning. They will no longer have to rock back and forth in their "typical 4 legged school chair" to release all of that excess energy!
