My Students
Do you remember what it was like to find a quiet place to dive into a good book? My girls are looking for a place that is filled with books to take them on far off adventures.
My girls are in the fourth grade and attend an all girls public school in Ohio.
Many are disadvantaged and do not receive support at home. They are loving, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and experience new things. They like to get their hands dirty and jump into projects.
My Project
The resources I am requesting will help build my classroom library as well as student's home libraries. It will provide my girls with many opportunities to read from a variety of genres in fiction and nonfiction. I will use the supplies to create hands-on lessons that are project based and focus on reading. The girls will use their creativity to work cooperatively in groups to bring their stories to life.
The donations will provide my girls with the opportunity to become life long learners by developing a love for reading.
They will provide students with books at their reading level so students can find success and not be discouraged. These books will bring the outside world into the classroom.
