My students need a document camera to show case student work and dispay examples and expectations for student work. The camera will also be utilized for shared reading.

My Students
It is so important for my special education students to take pride in their work. Being able to display their work for the class to see will encourage and motivate them to perform their best. Having the ability to display text for students to read together is important to encourage participation.
I am a third grade special education teacher in a Title one school in NYC.
My students have various learning challenges and disabilities. Most of my students are from low income families and from very diverse cultures and background. The school I work in provides accommodations and services to address my students needs. However equipment is limited and it is so important to reach all my students on many levels through multiple modals. My students come to school eager to learn and I would love to see that eagerness continue with having the opportunity to provide them with engaging and motivating teaching materials. My students thrive on a loving, caring, supportive and encouraging classroom. With your help and support I can enhance my classroom environment for my children.
My Project
With the use of the projector I will be able to model work that I expect from the students. I will also be able to display other students work to the class. Students love technology and the use of the projector will excite the students and make learning more engaging. The project will also be used to display books and reading material. This will allow me to model reading skills that are essential for my students to master. The ability for the entire class to see the text all at once will allow for shared reading experiences that provide opportunity for all students to participate.
Donations for this equipments will enhance my classroom learning environment by proving opportunities for me to teach my students in a way they have not been exposed to before.
this will promote enthusiasm for learning and motivate my students to strive to be the best they can be.
