With the Kids Returning I Need to Increase Their Reading!
Help me give my students that attend small group reading the opportunity to explore their reading selections, increase their literacy, and expand their learning opportunities.

My Students
I am a special education teacher in a local city school system.
There are 16 students with special education services in grades K-5 at our school.
We are a Title I funded school in Virginia, and over half of the students in the school qualify to receive free or reduced price lunches. The school has 230 students of which 56% are white, 27% African American, and 8% are Asian. My students have varying disabilities including Autism, ADHD, and SLD.
My Project
I am requesting a few more Kindles and a charging station for my small reading groups since we have more students returning for in-person instruction. I recently was able to obtain a few Kindles for my students as well as a subscription for a reading application for the Kindles to expand the reading selection through my last Donors Choose project.
The great thing about the Kindles is I am able to have groups and easily wipe them clean for the next group and not have to quarantine books.
We also have access to a lot of different leveled books which is MUCH needed when teaching Special Education students K-5.
