This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students at my school come from various backgrounds and more than 3/4 come from low income households. However within the walls of my classroom, everyone is EQUAL, valued, and respected. We are a family! I teach middle school so my goal is to create a safe, inviting, and comfortable workspace that students will be excited to come to! With the proper tools in their possession, my students will soar to new heights and reach their destination!
Some of my students come to class without any supplies.
This even includes not having a backpack or a pencil to write with. So, the pencil sharpener, highlighters, markers, and other essential school supplies will help me in ensuring that my students have everything that they need to be successful.
Success in school isn't something that should be awarded only to students who can afford it.
