This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students enter my classroom eager to learn and interact with one another. My students come from a low income neighborhood and many do not get to experience the same opportunities that other children do.

My students are hard-working, ready to learn, and excited to see what they can learn each day.

I want my students to be engaged and able to actively learn through different educational opportunities. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. I want my students to feel valued and inspired to always try their best and never give up.

My Project

The use of the easel is a daily activity in my classroom, especially during reading and writing. We currently have a small easel that is not magnetic and does not have a place to hold charts. With the use of this new easel, the students will be able to actively interact and use magnetic letters on the board during word work.

My students need hands on activities where they can be active participants in their learning.

Using an easel allows the students to learn about the mini lesson for the day, and then actively participate by coming up to the easel and practicing. The easel will also allow the students to review and refer to charts on reading and writing that we make.

By being able to gift them with an item that will make their learning more engaging and interactive, the students will be so very thankful and excited by your donation.
